Dharma Tribe
January 1999 ~ April 2003
An elecrified quintet with an acoustic edge, this band quickly became well known in Orange County, CAfor it's highly energetic vibe. Inventive and rocking original tunes, tight live performances and unique style. For most of DT's days, we had no bass guitarist. My brother Matt layed down the low end on the synth, while simultaneously tearing up the keys. Eschewing electric guitars, Johnny and Tim rocked the shit out of their acoustics, proving you don't need an amp to crank it to 11. It was in this band that I first developed my acoustic-hybrid setup, and the earliest band that I was in that performed group drum jams. There were two distinct eras of the band, with different singers and different songs, each with their own energy, both intense in their delivery.
Other Musicians: Johnny Park, Timinator None, Derik Winegar, Matt O., Sullivan Stew, Matt Kuster
